Nothing to lose - nothing to fear ... [quote]:

The worst that could happen to us is that we have to die, and since that is already our unalterable fate, we are free; those who have lost everything no longer have anything to fear.
― Don Juan Matus.

For me ... that's a LOT of spoons!

I have measured out my life with coffee spoons.
T. S. Eliot.

Skyfall, by Adele

Another addition to the soundtrack of my life when I was recently asked what my favorite Adele song is:
Skyfall.
Adele can break hearts with her voice.

Writers as observers ...

It's not a bad thing for a writer not to feel at home. Writers - we're much more comfortable at parties standing in the corner watching everybody else having a good time than we are mingling. In order to write well, you have to be an observer of the world. In order to get inspiration for a story, you have to watch the world unfold around you, or you could read some helpful quotes about writing by authors.
– Neil Gaiman.

Donatas Banionis - RIP.

In memory of Donatas Banionis.

Talented and prolific Lithuanian-born actor I will remember best for his haunting portrayal of Kris Kelvin, in Andrei Tarkovsky’s 1972 version of Solaris.
