Donatas Banionis - RIP.


In memory of Donatas Banionis.


Talented and prolific Lithuanian-born actor I will remember best for his haunting portrayal of Kris Kelvin, in Andrei Tarkovsky’s 1972 version of Solaris.

    That was a classic sci-fi move he appeared in. Did not realize he was 90 when he passed.

      It is a classic. First saw it back in 1982 when I was 14. Been a fan ever since. Donatas Banionis' acting added so much to an already great movie. He'll live on through his work.
