It is pretty amazing to know that we can't survive without bees. I have seem tv programs on this. We really need to start doing more to protect our planet, and all the species on it.
Thanks, Phil. Yes, it's scary how their extinction could result in our own. They are the only insect that produces food for us - through honey and crop fertilization. Without them - we're done! It's bad enough that climate change has taken its toll, but the Neonicotinoid chemicals in the pesticides are wiping them out! Folks are protesting, the petitions are going in, and hopefully the problem of the pesticide chemicals will be sorted out. They have already put a ban on them in some countries in Europe and the bee population has increased by 50% in one year - so it's a no-brainer as to the cause.
